Laura E. Anderson
“A marker of healing from religious trauma is not simply the process of deconstructing one’s worldview and identity and rebuilding a new one; it is also the willingness to remain open to shifting and changing over the course of one’s life.”
I come from a humanist perspective of the people and I have a deep respect for people of many faith practices. Since I have a passion for peaceful connection between all people I enjoy learning from and about others’ beliefs and personal spiritual or meditative practices.
Professionally, I have experience working with Wiccan, pagan, agnostic, atheist, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Jehovah’s Witness, and a wide range of Christian denominations, Catholic, including smaller and more conservative sects within these religions and sects that would fit the category of a cult or abusive group environments.
I enjoy working with couples who are navigating interfaith dynamics. I have experience with survivors of religious or cult abuse.
This feels messy…confusing.
